He's a mischievous little monkey who uses his tail to hang from trees... right? Wrong. Curious George has no tail and never has. While most monkeys do have tails, George is consistently drawn without one, suggesting he might biologically be an ape (like a chimp). Our brains simply fill in the missing feature we expect to see on a primate.
