False Memories

A generation of children grew up reading 'The Berenstein Bears' and are absolutely certain the name ended in '-stein'. However, the books have always been titled 'The Berenstain Bears', named after their creators, Stan and Jan Berenstain. The confusion likely stems from '-stein' being a common suffix (Einstein, Bernstein), causing our brains to autocorrect the unusual '-stain' spelling to the more familiar pattern.
