The Full Story:
If you've ever had your car hit by bird droppings, you've noticed it's usually a white splatter with a dark center. That white part is essentially bird pee. Unlike mammals, **birds** do not have a urinary bladder to store liquid urine. To stay light for flight, they need to expel waste quickly and conserve water.
Instead of creating urea (which requires a lot of water to flush out), birds convert nitrogenous waste into **uric acid**, which is a white, pasty solid. This paste is expelled from the cloaca (a single exit for waste and reproduction) simultaneously with dark fecal matter. So, birds technically pee and poop at the exact same time, in the same package.
